Spring / Summer 1997 Ready-To-Wear - Fabulous clear acrylic bangle featuring a gold-tone chain with gold-toned CC monograms. The collection was named "Equestrian style" or 'the stable look' as Lagerfeld joked. It was inspired by a picture of Mademoiselle Chanel on a horse wearing male equestrian clothes, showing Chanel's courageous, adventurous, and fearless character at a very conservative time for women. Coco Chanel personally adored these bracelets and would wear them constantly, notably stacking multiple mismatched cuffs on her wrists.
