Exceptional brooch with ivory enamel on gold-plated metal enhanced with turquoise glass cabochons and crystals. The two parts hanging are mobile, which is the designer's characteristic. This is a unique collector's piece. Pierre Cardin worked for Paquin, Schiaparelli and Dior before opening his own atelier. What interested him was movement; he wanted to create a fashion in volumes, in the form of "animated, living sculptures". He said, "My fashion is above all a very architectural structure, shapes and volumes. I work like a sculptor".
